Star Apple Networks provide access to ideas, resources, support, role models and human connections. Women entrepreneurs are critical to economic growth, yet they face obstacles in accessing the resources needed to grow their businesses. Star Apple works to fill the need to connect women locally and internationally by providing networking and engagement events throughout the Bahamas. These grassroot events take place in each of the 16 main islands of the Bahamas and are designed to reach women and the youth in the underserved communities of the Bahamas. This platform is intended to connect and empower attendees. Check the upcoming events section for an event near you and register to be empowered!
Personal development is a lifelong process. It is a way for people to assess their skills and qualities, consider their aims in life and set goals in order to realise and maximise their potential. In the words of our founder ‘Remember it is not the moon or the stars that’s the limit it is you.’ Which means the individual must become everything that they are capable of becoming. In other words, it refers to self-fulfilment and the need to reach full potential as a unique human being. Star Apple puts on a series of virtual workshops to help women and the youth in the underserved communities of the Bahamas become their best version. Check our events page for more information.
Star Apple is commemorating the heroes and leaders who have forged the rights that women enjoy today in the Bahamas by naming scholarships after these incredible individuals. Star Apple’s inaugural scholarship, The Ruby Scholarship, is named after Ruby Ann Darling, the first woman to cast a vote in a General Election in 1962. The Ruby Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship which is awarded to a deserving student and is to be applied against tuition at a post secondary institution. The Ruby Scholarship rewards candidates who exemplify the Ruby principles of putting God first and performing service in the family and community at large.
